The Washington Metro Area Women’s Ministries organization was established in the early 1990s to meet the needs and concerns of women in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. It is governed by the Office of Women’s Ministries, Allegheny East Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Leaders and advisers are appointed by this body with a mandate to direct its local activities.

What we do
Major Programs
Biennial Retreat
Dynamic speakers, luxury accommodations and picturesque views characterize an extraordinary weekend of faith, fellowship and friends held early September. Registration ends mid August.
Young Women's Retreat
This young women's event is held in conjunction with the biennial women's retreat and is a pajama party, breakout session event with gifts, prizes and more.
Men of Honor
An award ceremony recognizing men who have exhibited extraordinary dedication to their churches and communities. These men are recognized with the following awards: The Helping Hand Award, Spirit of Community Award, The Unsung Hero Award, and The Chosen Vessels Award.

FOURTEENTH BIENNIAL RETREAT

This biennial event features dynamic guest speakers: Pastor Brenda Billingy, Pastor Chanda Nunes, and Pastor Shantel Smith. Luxury accommodations at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge, Maryland with picturesque ocean and country views.
4th of July SALE!!! Get $25 off your registration fee when you register and make full payment, on or before July 15, 2018. Bring your friend and join us for fun and fellowship on September 7 – 9, 2018. Registration fee is $260 before July 31, and $285 after that date. Hotel cost is $105 plus tax, per night. Registration for this event ends on August 15, 2018.
Please note that the hotel accommodations for the retreat have been booked. There are no additional rooms allocated to this event. If you do not have hotel accommodations or are not accompanying/rooming with someone who has hotel reservations, please DO NOT REGISTER for this event.
